ماتریس GDE از چهار سطح تشکیل شده است. سطح اول درباره‌ی کنترل خودرو و سطح دوم درباره‌ی رانندگی در ترافیک است. این سطوح با روش‌های آموزشی سنتی آموزش داده می‌شوند. مربی‌گری (coaching) به شما اجازه می‌دهد سطوح سوم و چهارم را کاوش کنید که به عواملی می‌پردازند که بر نحوه‌ی رانندگی فرد اثر می‌گذارند و اینکه شخصیت، ارزش‌ها، نظرات و باورهایش چگونه بر انتخاب‌هایش اثر می‌گذارند.
The GDE matrix consists of four levels. The first level is about car control and the second is about driving in traffic. These are taught in traditional instructional methods. Coaching allows you to explore the third and fourth levels which look at what influences how someone drives and how their personality, values, opinions and beliefs affect their choices.
