در طول تمرین توقف اضطراری، ممتحن پیش از دادن علامت توقف بررسی می‌کند که جاده‌ی پشت سر خالی است. با دادن علامت، داوطلب باید در حالی که وسیله را تا جای ممکن سریع و ایمن متوقف می‌کند، کنترل کامل آن را حفظ کند.
During an emergency stop exercise, the examiner will check that the road is clear behind before they give the signal to stop. At the signal, the candidate should keep full control of the vehicle while stopping it as quickly and safely as possible.
