To make sure children can see and be seen when they're crossing the road
این نوع علامت‌گذاری‌ها معمولاً در نزدیکی مدارس دیده می‌شوند. حتی برای سوار یا پیاده کردن کودکان نیز نباید روی آنها توقف یا پارک کرد. هدف از این علامت‌گذاری‌ها، حفظ دید کافی و واضح برای رانندگان، راکبین، کودکان و سایر عابران پیاده در تمامی جهات است.
These markings are found on the road outside schools. Do not stop or park on them, even to set down or pick up children. The markings are there to make sure that drivers, riders, children and other pedestrians have a clear view of the road in all directions.
