هنگام نزدیک شدن به یک خطر همیشه از روال MSM استفاده کنید. M - آینه‌ها (Mirrors): موقعیت ترافیک پشت سر خود را بررسی کنید. S - راهنما (Signal): قصد خود برای کم کردن سرعت یا تغییر مسیر را به‌موقع اعلام کنید. M - مانور (Manoeuvre): مانور هر تغییری در موقعیت است، از کم کردن سرعت یا توقف وسیله گرفته تا پیچیدن از یک جاده‌ی شلوغ.
