باران، همراه با روغن، ذرات لاستیک، کثیفی و آشغال روی سطح جاده، چسبندگی لاستیک‌ها به جاده را کاهش می‌دهد. وقتی پس از یک دوره‌ی طولانی خشکی باران می‌بارد، جاده ممکن است به‌ویژه لغزنده باشد.
Rain, combined with oil, rubber particles, dirt and debris on the road surface, reduces the tyres' grip on the road. It can be especially slippery when it rains after a long dry spell.
