هر کسی که همراه یک هنرجوی رانندگی در آزمون است باید دست‌کم ۱۶ سال سن داشته باشد و کمربند ایمنی ببندد. (این شامل فردی که گواهی معافیت کمربند ایمنی دارد هم می‌شود.) راننده‌ی همراه نباید هیچ نقشی در آزمون داشته باشد. اگر ممتحن احساس کند ارتباط نامناسبی صورت گرفته، می‌تواند آزمون را پایان دهد.
Anyone who accompanies a learner driver on a driving test must be at least 16 years old and must wear a seat belt. (This includes a person who holds a seat-belt exemption certificate.) The accompanying driver must not take any part in the test. The examiner can end the test if they feel any inappropriate communication has taken place.
