محدوده‌هایی در پشت و دو طرف شما وجود دارد که در آینه‌ها دیده نمی‌شوند. به این محدوده‌ها نقاط کور می‌گویند. درست قبل از پیچیدن یا تغییر جهت، باید به اطراف نگاه کنید تا مطمئن شوید در نقطه‌ی کور هیچ خطری نیست. به این بررسی «نگاه نجات‌بخش» گفته می‌شود.
There are areas behind and to either side of you that are not visible in your mirrors. These are known as blind spots. Just before turning or changing direction, you should look around to check that there's nothing hazardous in the blind spot. This check is known as a 'lifesaver'.
